Various Citizen Activities to be Organized for Qingdao Stopover of Clipper Race 2010-02-05 It is learned that in order to publicize the Clipper Round the World Yachts Race and invigorate the sports and cultural life of the local citizens during the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival holiday period, the organizing committee for the Qingdao Stopover of Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yachts Race will arrange various activities such as publicity for yacht fleet cities, cultural and sports shows and performances, a folk arts exhibition, Lantern riddles, entertainment activities for the children and souvenir sale etc. to attract wide participation of citizens. These diversified activities will be arranged in 6 areas of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, i.e. the measurement dam, the audience dam, Xinhai Square, Flag Matrix Square, the floating pier at the eastern sector of the inner dock basin and the -1st floor of Qingdao International Yachts Club.
