Qingdao to Forge 14 Key Demonstration Areas to Welcome the Olympics 2008-05-06 Recently, Qingdao Municipal Civilization Commission selected 14 areas such as the Olympics Sailing Base, the surrounding area of the Olympics Sailing Base, May 4 Square, Music Square, Huiquan Square, Badaguan Scenic Area, Luxun Park, Zhongshan Park, Zhanqiao Pier, Railway Station, Liuting International Airport, Ferryboat Dock, Qingdao Municipal Hospital (East Branch), Taiqing Palace Scenic Area of Laoshan Resort Area as demonstration areas to welcome the Olympics. The campaign is to create good environment in terms of hygiene, social order, service quality and good behaviors to welcome the Olympics and to guide the general public to strengthen their sense of host to participate in the campaign to create good social environment for the Olympic Sailing Regatta and the Paralympics Sailing Regatta. The Municipal Civilization Commission required all administrative institutions of the demonstration areas to strengthen the publicity and to take the lead to host a characteristic and high-profile Olympic Sailing Regatta and Paralympics Sailing Regatta.
