?When you talk with disabled people, volunteer shall squat and chat with him/her?, ?when you go with people who walk with stick(s), you shall walk before him/her not to have sense of urgency ?; ?when you help the armless disabled person, you have to ask what kind of dining utensils he/she wants, do not feed them directly? ? At the training workshop for the 2008 Qingdao International Disabled Persons Sailing Competition volunteers, experts from SSCQD taught the 240 volunteers the etiquettes and taboo when they contact with disabled person, after the training, the volunteers will start to work from today. The volunteers recruiting of 2008 Qingdao International Disabled Persons Sailing Competition ended recently. Gao Yikun is the teamleader of station 3 and Qingdao Green Ribbon Volunteers Team, and he is also a veteran volunteer, this year he and his team will continue to work as volunteers at station 3 during the international disabled person sailing competition; Madam Sha Aizhen, a language volunteer at station 7, is a retired senior horticulture engineer and she knows the coastal scenic spots of Qingdao very well, she hopes to introduce Qingdao?s fantastic sceneries to friends from home and abroad as a volunteer of the Olympics. The urban operation volunteers of this year Qingdao International Disabled Persons Sailing Competition will work between 9?30?16?30 from May 6 to May 16. In the period, they will provide information consultation, language service, first-aid match consultation at 40 volunteers service stations scattered at the Olympic sailing site, main public sites, tourism sites.
