Taiwan Trade and Economic Delegation, headed by Chiang Pin-Kung, vice chairman of Taiwan's Kuomintang (KMT), arrived here yesterday at the invitation of the city. Du Shicheng, Vice Secretary of the Shandong Provincial CPC Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal CPC Committee met with Taiwan delegation at Badaguan Hotel yesterday afternoon.

Du extended the warm welcome to the visiting guests from Taiwan, greatly appreciating Chiang Pin-Kung for his efforts to actively promote the relationship development between the mainland and Taiwan and trade and economic exchange and cooperation between Qingdao and Taiwan.

Chiang Pin-Kung was much impressed by the rapid economic growth and beautiful scenery of the city. The trade and economic exchange and cooperation between Qingdao and Taiwan enjoy great potential in the future. The delegation is scheduled to investigate Qingdao Economic Development Zone, the Qianwan Harbor, Shibei District High and New Tech Zone and etc.
