2024 China Motorboat Open (Qingdao Station) Kicks Off

The 2024 China Motorboat Open (Qingdao Station) kicked off on the morning of September 3 at the sealine of the Haiquyuan scenic area on Aomen Road, Qingdao where over 20 teams and nearly 100 top athletes from across the country gathered in the Sailing Capital of China for the intense competition, offering spectators a thrilling showcase of high-level water sports.

As a key segment of the Qingdao International Marine Festival event which is part of the 16th Qingdao International Sailing Week, and the inaugural China (Qingdao) International Marine Sports Conference, this race marks the first offshore competition of the 2024 season for the motorboat circuit. During the three-day competition, participants will compete in five events: Seated Runabout Limited (RL1), Seated Runabout Limited (RL3), Seated Runabout Stock (RS3), Stand-up Open (JO), and Stand-up Limited (J1).

In recent years, Qingdao has been actively promoting the integration of water sports with tourism and culture to drive the development of water sports through recreational tourism projects and cultural festivals.

Deputy Mayor of Qingdao Zhao Shengcun was present for the opening ceremony.
