The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing recently announced the 38th batch of A-grade logistics enterprises, with two Qingdao companies—Shandong Jiefeng International Storage and Transportation and Qingdao Port International Logistics—achieving the prestigious 5A rating, placing them in the top tier of China’s logistics industry. Additionally, three other Qingdao-based firms—Qingdao Zhiyuan Global Supply Chain Management, Sinotraffic Supply Chain, and Qingdao New Ocean Line—were awarded 4A ratings. Qingdao boasts 115 A-level logistics enterprises, including 13 rated 5A.
The A-level certification, conducted according to the national standard Classification And Evaluation Indicators for Logistics Enterprises, is the most authoritative qualification in China's logistics sector, reflecting the industry's development level and direction, ranking logistic enterprises on a scale from 1A to 5A, with 5A being the highest. The latest nationwide certification round saw 591 new additions to the list, including 28 new 5A and 203 new 4A enterprises.
Qingdao has emerged as a hub for strong, competitive, and influential logistics enterprises. Notably, Zhongchuang Logistics and Ririshun Supply Chain Technology were named among China’s top 50 logistics companies in 2023, while Huajun Logistics Park was recognized as a national model logistics park. Six Qingdao companies—SPG Qingdao Port Group Company, China Master Logistics, Shandong Shipping, Shandong High-Speed Logistics Group, COSCO Shipping Lines (Qingdao), and Ririshun Supply Chain Technology—have also been identified as "supply chain owner" enterprises in the modern logistics industry chain.
The Qingdao Modern Logistics Industry Quality and Efficiency Improvement Action Plan of 2024-2026 outlines efforts to strengthen leading enterprises, support the growth of network freight companies, enhance supply chain development, and guide large logistics firms to transition into multimodal transport operators and full-chain service providers, driving the expansion of international and domestic markets across the supply chain.
