Party chief Zeng Zanrong of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee met with Global Vice President of CJ Group and President of CJ China Yoon Do-son, along with his delegation on the afternoon of the June 6. Deputy Party Chief Zhang Hui was also present during the meeting.
Zeng Zanrong extended a warm welcome to the guests, providing them with a brief overview of Qingdao's economic and social development that reflects the city's commitment to the thorough implementation of President Xi Jinping's directives by fully embracing new development concepts and actively promoting high-level accountability and opening-up. The city is focused on attracting and utilizing foreign investment to establish a new benchmark for international openness, noting how the CJ Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, has maintained a strong partnership with Qingdao for 30 years through its local investments. Zeng expressed hope for further business expansion by CJ Group in Qingdao, highlighting various opportunities for deeper cooperation in food and beverage, modern logistics, and cultural entertainment sectors for mutual benefits and shared growth. Zeng assured that the business environment in Qingdao would continue to enhance to provide much-needed support for multinational companies.
Yoon Do-son thanked the Qingdao government for its support, expressing optimism about Qingdao's future. He affirmed that CJ Group is optimistic about Qingdao's growth prospects and is committed to deepening its presence in the Qingdao market. The South Korean-based conglomerate plans to increase its investment, expand cooperation areas, and drive new achievements in their partnership.
Standing Committee member and Secretary General of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee Chang Hongjun also attended the meeting.
