The 2023 China International Consumer Electronics Exposition (CICE) was open at Qingdao International Convention Center on May 17, 2023. Zhang Qingwei, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, announced the opening of the expo, Zhou Naixiang, governor of Shandong Province, and Zhang Yujing, president of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products addressed the opening ceremony, Lu Zhiyuan, vice Party chief of Shandong Province and Party chief of Qingdao, attended the opening ceremony.
Zhou Naixiang first expressed welcome to the guests on behalf of Party Shandong Committee and Shandong Provincial Government. Noting that Shandong is strong at consumer electronics and the industrial scale of smart home appliance and VR take the lead in the country, Mr. Zhou said in his speech that Shandong Provincial Government would like to take this expo as an opportunity to work with all parties to carry out extensive communication and exchanges in the fields of artificial intelligence, new display, virtual reality, and new retail, and to deepen practical cooperation in matching industrial demands, technological innovation, technological promotion, and talent exchange, to share visions and ideas on integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy, and to promote industrial cooperation and scientific and technological cooperation. The governor urged entrepreneurs from home and abroad to visit Shandong and invest in Shandong to create a brighter future together.
Leading officials of Shandong Province Wang Yihua, Song Junji and leading officials of Qingdao Zhao Haozhi, Wang Luming, Geng Tao, Chang Hongjun, Chen Jinguo and Zhang Yuansheng attended the opening ceremony.
Themed on "Intelligent and Digital Technologies for a Better Future", the three-day expos demonstrate Qingdao's determination to boost the digital industry by leveraging the city's core competitiveness in smart home appliances to promote the development of the exhibition and innovative entities in the industrial chain and achieve the integration between the city's pillar sectors and emerging industries.
