At the automatic wharf of Qingdao Port, AGVs keep running. Loaded containers are operated in order. At 8:00 a.m. of May 15, 2023, after unremitting operation, this world leading intelligent and green wharf handled 1192 TEUs within 24 hours, an efficiency 19% higher than similar wharfs in the world, and set a new record of day-and-night handling efficiency of a single bridge crane.
The new world record is impossible without the intelligent management and control system A-TOS, the new generation of “brain” and “nerve center” of the automatic wharf of Qingdao Port. This system was developed by “Liangang Innovation Team”. The core and key technologies from the underlying software and hardware to the top application are totally autonomous and controllable. It can dynamically adjust the system load according to the actual handling volume of the wharf to realize the optimal distribution of system resource consumption and make the handling operation more efficient and intelligent, so that the record of 24h port container handling efficiency of a single bridge crane was increased from 1100 TEUs to 1192 TEUs.
On June 28, 2022, during the operation for the ship “TS SHIMIN”, the automatic wharf of Qingdao Port used this system, so the average handling efficiency of a single bridge crane reached 60.18 containers/hour, an increase of 14.2%, renewing the world record of automatic wharf handling efficiency for the nineth time.
