On the afternoon of Nov. 23, 2022, the video and telephone conference for epidemic prevention and control work of Shandong Province was held. A branch venue was set in the office building of municipal organs of Qingdao. Zhao Haozhi, deputy party chief and mayor of Qingdao, attended the conference at the branch venue. After the provincial conference, the municipal video meeting for epidemic prevention and control was held to implement the spirit of the provincial conference and arrange the important tasks of epidemic prevention and control. Zhao Haozhi attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Zhao Haozhi indicated that the current situation of epidemic prevention and control is still severe and complex. The whole city should improve the thoughts, study and implement in depth General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions for epidemic prevention and control work, stick to the “three principles of perseverance”, seriously implement the 20 optimization measures, always keep the epidemic prevention and control in mind and resolutely hold its bottom line. We should quickly and decisively deal with the current epidemic situation, effectively implement the measures of epidemiological investigation, nucleic acid detection, transport, isolation, community control, protect the safety and the health of the people to the largest extent and minimize the epidemic impact on the economic and social development.
Zhao Haozhi emphasized that we should effectively solidify the defense line of prevention of input cases by implementing various prevention and control measures such as control of persons back to Qingdao from critical regions of China, the nucleic acid detection on arrival at traffic block ports, community investigation and nucleic acid detection. We should strictly carry out the prevention and control in critical places such as isolation sites, medical institutions, nursing institutions for the elderly, schools, entertainment venues, supermarkets and farmers’ markets to avoid problems. We should improve our ability in epidemiological investigation, nucleic acid detection, transport, isolation and medical rescue to provide a powerful support for the epidemic prevention and control. We should implement the “responsibilities of four parties”, improve the policy interpretation and training and continually carry out supervision and inspection to ensure the effective implementation of various prevention and control measures.
After the meeting, Zhao Haozhi went to the epidemiological investigation command center of the municipal epidemic prevention and control headquarter for investigation. He consulted in detail the system, mechanism, team building and work flow of the command center and expressed the sympathy and gratitude of the municipal government to the staff. He emphasized that they should constantly improve the working mechanism, increase the number of staff as soon as possible, strengthen the cooperation and the application of IT methods so as to accomplish the epidemiological investigation in good quality and high efficiency. He also required to actively ensure the logistics so that epidemiological investigation staff can be fully devoted to their work.
