It is learned from the Management Committee of China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Zone that the first SCO database in China for international cooperation resources and major projects began operation on May 10, 2022.

Sponsored by Guangdong- CIS International Technological Cooperation Union and the Innovation and Productivity Cooperation Center of China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Zone, the database includes the cooperation achievements and resources since the establishment of China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Zone and gathers the human resources, technology, productivity, trade, marine technology, logistic, culture, tourism and education resources of SCO countries; it will effectively integrate productivity cooperation resources of SCO countries and build a demonstration comprehensive platform for SCO cooperation resources and major projects.

At present, the database has integrated cooperation resources of SCO member countries, observer states and dialogue countries and included over 500 institutions of government agencies, business associations, enterprises in sectors of finance, investment, logistics, culture and tourism such as St Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Sino- Russia Energy Fund, Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park, Kyrgyzstan Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Union, Azerbaijan National Commerce Center, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry and National Bank of Pakistan etc. and the database will become an important matchmaking tool for SCO international cooperation projects.

It is worth mentioning that the database takes SCO scientific and technological innovation as a feature sector, focuses on innovative achievements in electronic information, biology and new medicine, aerospace, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, high-tech services, resources and environment, new generation equipment manufacturing and agriculture to promote large-scale project cooperation. The database has by now 492 international experts, 554 innovation and industrial cooperation institutions and 2021 international cooperation projects.

“The demonstration zone will form effective data tools through the construction of SCO international cooperation resources and major projects database to support international cooperation of the demonstration zone with SCO member countries in international logistic, modern trade, mutual investment, tourism, culture and marine S & T etc.” said Fu Zhonghua, an official from the Management Committee of China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Zone.
