From 00:00 to 24:00 on November 21, 2022, 6 new local confirmed cases (4 with mild symptoms and 2 with moderate symptoms) were reported, with 2 from Shibei District, 2 from Huangdao District (both returning from outside Qingdao), 1 from Chengyang District (returning from outside Shandong province) and 1 from Jimo District. Five of them tested positive during centralized quarantine and 1 case was detected during community nucleic acid screenings.

Ten new local asymptomatic cases were identified. Three of them were reported from Jimo District, 3 from Pingdu (with 1 returning from outside Shandong province and 1 returning from outside Qingdao), 2 from Jiaozhou (with 1 returning from outside Shandong province), 1 from Shibei District, and 1 from Huangdao District (returning from outside Qingdao). Among them, 4 cases tested positive during centralized quarantine, 2 were detected during medical observation at home, 2 during screenings of key groups of individuals, 2 during community nucleic acid screenings.

No new inbound confirmed case was reported. One new inbound asymptomatic case from the Republic of Korea was identified. The case has followed the COVID-19 containment policies upon arrival according to regulations. After testing positive, the case was transferred by a negative pressure ambulance to the designated hospital and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infection by the expert group on November 21.

From 00:00 to 24:00 on November 21, 2022, 11 local confirmed cases (8 from Shibei District, 2 from Licang District and 1 from Chengyang District) were discharged from hospital and 12 local asymptomatic cases (3 from Shinan District, 3 from Shibei District, 2 from Licang District, 2 from Huangdao District, 1 from Chengyang District and 1 from Laixi) were discharged from medical observation. One inbound confirmed case from Japan was discharged from hospital. Three inbound asymptomatic cases (1 from Vietnam, 1 from the Repubic of Korea and 1 from Japan) were discharged from medical observation.
