From 00:00 to 24:00 on November 20, 2022, 3 new local confirmed cases (1 with mild symptoms and 2 with moderate symptoms) were reported, with 2 from Shibei District and 1 from Huangdao District (returning from outside Qingdao). All tested positive during centralized quarantine.

Seventeen new local asymptomatic cases were identified. Six of them were reported from Pingdu (with 4 returning from outside Shandong province and 2 returning from outside Qingdao), 3 from Shibei District, 3 from Licang District and 3 from Huangdao District  (with 2 from outside Qingdao and 1 returning from outside Qingdao), 1 from Jiaozhou (returning from outside Shandong province) and 1 from Laixi (returning from outside Shandong province). Among them, 7 cases tested positive during centralized quarantine, 7 were detected during screenings of key groups of individuals, 2 during nucleic acid screenings in high-risk areas and 1 during cross-regional coordinated screenings.

One new inbound confirmed case from Japan was reported. Eight new inbound asymptomatic cases were identified, with 3 from the Republic of Korea, 3 from the UK and 2 from Japan. All cases have followed the COVID-19 containment policies upon arrival according to regulations. After testing positive, they were transferred by negative pressure ambulances to the designated hospitals. One person was diagnosed as a confirmed case (with moderate symptoms) and 8 were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections by the expert groups on November 20.

From 00:00 to 24:00 on November 20, 2022, 12 local confirmed cases (10 from Shibei District, 1 from Huangdao District and 1 from Chengyang District) were discharged from hospital and 32 local asymptomatic cases (18 from Shibei District, 6 from Chengyang District, 4 from Licang District, 1 from Shinan District, 1 from Laoshan District, 1 from Huangdao District and 1 from Jimo District) were discharged from medical observation. No inbound confirmed case was discharged from hospital. Six inbound asymptomatic cases (4 from the Republic of Korea and 2 from the UAE) were discharged from medical observation.
