Qingdao COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters convened the 46th regular meeting on March 9, 2020 to listen to the reports of situation of all epidemic prevention and control lines in Qingdao and the opinions and advices of experts, and arrange work of the next stage. Meng Fanli, mayor of Qingdao and Commander-in-chief of Qingdao COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, chaired the meeting and delivered a speech.

The meeting pointed out that we make periodical result in the COVID-19 prevention and control in accordance with the requirements of the Party Central Committee and Shandong Provincial Government.

The meeting urged the participants to keep high alert on imported infection as the epidemic spread in foreign countries and the work resumption in the city.

The meeting demanded better protection measures for special venues such as the elderly care, childcare and health facilities and shopping malls where vulnerable groups of people are housed in enclosed premises.

Protection should also be strengthened for people who work on the front line to battle the epidemic, the meeting added.
